So, I read about the alex thing and I disagree with it. I dont like this whole, students should be able to do certain objectives thing. It only leads to teachers not having any flexibility in what their teaching, and students only caring about whats gonna be on the test. I remember in high school, it was just teachers teaching what was going to be on the CRT because thats how they and the school were graded. And I know me personally, I only cared about getting the questions and memorizing the answers so I could spit them back out on a test and get an A in the class.
But I can see the flip side of this too. That students should walk out of certain classes knowing certain things and having certain skills. For example, an American history student should have a general idea about what the civil war was.
